Resin Care
Resin is a strong and lasting material, however there are steps you can take to make sure your jewelry lasts for as long as you love it.
- Wait to put on your jewelry until after Applying any perfumes, lotions, hairspray, etc, and remove it before swimming, sleeping, exercising, or showering.
- Wipe your earrings down using a dry or damp, non-abrasive cloth after wearing to remove any oils, sweat and chemicals that may react with the resin and metal components. Make sure it is dry before storing.Wipe your earrings down using a dry or damp, non-abrasive cloth after wearing to remove any oils, sweat and chemicals that may react with the resin and metal components. - It’s very important that your resin is stored in a cool place out of the sun when you’re not wearing it. Even the best UV-resistant resins will begin to amber over time, (this is definitely a cool look, but it can wait!) and the sun has a way of bleaching the color from dried flowers. Place the jewelry in an airtight container or baggie to resist tarnishing of the metal components.
- If you find your earrings need a little extra cleaning, you can use a small amount of mild dish soap. -Never use harsh chemicals, which can eat at the resin, or anything abrasive such as rough cloths or baking soda, which will dull the shine.
